For families: When the Wall divided Berlin

Together, we search Bernauer Strasse for small and large traces of the Berlin Wall. We find out why there is a memorial here and what its purpose is. In doing so, we ask important questions: Why was a wall built in the first place? How did it change people's lives? And how did families experience the division? We also talk about who actually brought down the wall.

Remains of the Wall, photographs, and eyewitness accounts help us find answers. Together, we consider what memories exist in our families and what significance the Berlin Wall still has today.
