Tear Down This Wall – Defending Freedom Then and Now

Vor Ort
Diskussion

At the Brandenburg Gate, President Reagan’s 1987 call to “tear down this wall” captured the universal aspiration for freedom. While the physical wall that once divided Berlin has long vanished, a metaphorical one now divides the world between freedom and autocracy. The ongoing struggle against oppression continues to unite people worldwide with the German capital as well as the United States.

To honor this shared commitment, the Atlantik-Brücke is bringing together leading global voices of freedom with representatives from the U.S. and the city of Berlin to reflect on the past and explore the meaning of liberty today.
