Green Transition and Lithium Dilemma: Serbia´s Jadar Valley in Focus
Thematically, this multimedia exhibition seeks to open an dialogue on freedom, justice and democratic accountability.
The event exposes dimensions of Jadar lithium extraction project in Serbia through the lenses of environmental degradation and the shrinking of democratic space, while situating the debate in a broader European context. InfoPoint of the exhibition is a welcoming hub where visitors can learn about the Jadar project and sign an ongoing petition (over 76 000 signatures). The visual part includes a screening of a documentary trailer by directing students from Berlin, followed by video material by local activists and students of Dramatic Arts from Belgrade. The last part of the exhibition is an alternative performance with the aim of creating a symbolic and emotional bridge between culture, resistance, and freedom, in line with the spirit of Berlin Freedom Week.
