Courage and freedom: "My refugees and my friends who helped them escape

Why do people leave their homes, families, and friends to start all over again somewhere else? And what motivates people to help others flee? Burkhart Veigel addresses these and other questions in his newly published book “Courage and Freedom: ‘My’ Refugees and My Friends Who Helped Them Flee” (BoD - Books on Demand Verlag).

At this event, author Burkhart Veigel will read from his book and talk with contemporary witnesses and escape helpers Hasso Herschel and Ulli Pfeifer, as well as refugees Irmgard and Uwe Müller.
