Cold War & Espionage: Contemporary Witness Tour including guided tour of the “Allies in Berlin” museum

On-site
Führung

As part of Berlin Freedom Week, we invite you to take a special journey through time to Teufelsberg—the place where the Cold War in Berlin was more intense than almost anywhere else. The former Allied listening station remains a symbol of secrecy, espionage, and the struggle for freedom in a divided world.

The tour is led by former employees of the US listening station, who provide first-hand accounts of their everyday lives, the political tensions, and the unique challenges of living in divided Berlin. This offers a unique insight into the work of the Allies in divided Berlin.

The tour is combined with an exclusive guided tour of the “Allies in Berlin” museum on Teufelsberg, which documents the presence of the Allies from 1945 to 1994 and highlights the role of Teufelsberg as a scene of global power politics.

The tour thus connects history and the present: it makes it possible to experience how fragile freedom can be – and how important its defense remains, both then and now.

The tour (in German) will take place from November 10 to 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. each day
