Barcamp – Democracy? Count us in!

Precisely because democratic coexistence is being challenged as rarely before, young people are becoming more aware of political issues—more than ever before, according to the Shell Youth Study. But many young people feel that their voice counts for little and that real change seems unattainable for them.

This is where our Barcamp „Democracy? Count us in!“ comes in: We cordially invite high school students, youth associations, and NGOs to shape perspectives for action for a vibrant democracy. Together with contemporary witnesses of the peaceful revolution of 1989 and today's activists, we are creating a collaborative space for this purpose. The movement for change has shown what our society can achieve – together, we want to build on this experience and bring it into the present day. The students contribute their own topics and questions, develop solutions, make contacts, and experience self-efficacy in action – diversity is expressly welcome!

Drinks and snacks provide energy, while musical interludes by Sarah Lesch set the mood and provide inspiration.
