Kurdish-Jewish friendship – a vision for a better Middle East for everyone
Kurds and Jews are among the largest minority communities in the Middle East. They share a centuries-old friendship and are natural allies: Those who oppose one are often opposed to the other.
Today, Kurdish-Jewish cooperation has the potential to contribute to a better and more peaceful Middle East for all. Together with Ali Toprak (Chairman of the Kurdish Community in Germany), Aram Aqil (WeAreMena) and Maria Kireenko (Pek Koach), we will explore the foundations and future of this special relationship.
The discussion will touch on growing up as a Kurd in Turkey, being kidnapped by ISIS, everyday experiences of hatred towards Kurds and Israel, as well as the latest geopolitical developments in the region.
Event in German.
