Berlin Wall & Cold War Bike Tour
Freedom – a given for some, a life-threatening goal for others. On our bike tour along the Berlin Wall, we dive into a city divided after World War II – and into the era of the Cold War. We visit places where people risked everything to flee to the West – through tunnels or by jumping from windows. At Bernauer Straße, the Tränenpalast, or former border crossings, we share stories of those who refused to live behind walls any longer. During the approximately 3.5-hour bike tour, you'll see original Wall remains, watch towers, and the layout of the so-called "death strip" – but also how Berlin remembers and engages with this part of its past today. Our guides combine personal stories with historical facts, showing how closely the desire for freedom is intertwined with the city's history.
